Do any of you roll down to CR solo? I am trying to get one of my boys to roll down there with me, but times are tough. I want to get back down there for a weekend in March.

Monitor the roll call section and see when others are going when you are. PM those members or follow specific roll calls for meeting places, happy hours, etc..

I always roll down solo. Many times stay solo the entire time, but it is very easy to hook up with wings at many of "our" spots. The easiest being SL, IMO. Like Cujo said, check roll call and PM prior to heading down.

Solo is great and you do everything at your own pace, but hanging with the boys can lead to much more fun, YMWV.

I have always gone solo and had a great time. Inevitably I will meet a wing or two at the SL, or the HLH and through the board as well. It is just a different time when you can just hang with the guys, talk shit, and chase women. Being solo, for me usually ends in hanging out with woman after woman (sometimes ending wifing up), no complaints either way.

my last few trips have been solo but i end up meeting some fellow crt'ers and hanging out with them the whole trip. i find going down there solo better as you do what you want on your own time and when you go to sl dr or hlh you will meet up with other guys and can always end up rolling with them. you dont have to worry about sleeping late or meeting this one or that one. when u go with a wing and they hook up and go back to there room your on your own anyway so just look at it that way. i always find a crt'er willing to shoot the shit and hang out

i rolled solo my first few trips, but it's so much more fun with a wing. i stayed close to HDR when alone, but ventured out much farther with others. i enjoyed myself immensely every time i visited CR.

I usually travel solo. Even my first trip to CR, I did not go with an "experienced wingman," and thoroughly enjoyed myself. It is very easy to navigate the p4p venues in the gulch, and there are always plenty of gringos around to pal around with.

I've been rolling solo for a few years now. Use to roll with friend for a few years also. Yes, time seems a little difficult now. Let me suggest, if u can hook-up w/ someone in the states, and split the cost, you'll find that is a lot better now. Once your in CR, u can fly solo on occacions. I've been fortunate to know a family in Alajuela for years now, and always visit with them and their friends. If you can find a retired friend in the states or a single friend, you'll enjoy your trip more. Just network while in CR, and you'll find many solo traverlers. Let me also suggest, explore the country, meet the ticos, connect, and your stay will be delightful. We all know where we can find R&R! You know what I mean, jelly bean? Your response: sure do, tenney shoe! This is the best time to be in CR, the summer season, especially in February. Be well.

12+ trips, over 10 solo. Never been lonely or bored. Always a CRT'er to chat with or a chica to keep you warm.
