I will be in town the 18th to the 26th. Staying first at SL, then later LA. I was planning a trip to Manuel Antonio or one of the other beaches closest to San Jose. Been to CR about (6) times. Anyone want to hang or split the cost of drive to the beaches can post here or PM me.

When I was last in San Jose (12/24 - 12/31) Rudy at LA booked me and 2 others with a private taxi to Manuel Antonio for the day. We each split $220 total taxi fair. It was about 3 hours each way, and the driver waited for us as we spent about 5 hours at the beach. We each gave the driver about 38k colones--driver will accept USD also.

We arrived and had some lunch (we all split to treat the driver to lunch), rented some beach chairs for about 8k colones ($16 for 3 chairs for the afternoon). The national park is closed on Mondays, and required an additional cost to enter when not closed.

I enjoyed the beach and the views at Manuel Antonio--had the park been open when there I would have gone into the part to see the beach line from within the park.

We left at 8am, arrived at about 11am. We departed I think about 4/4:30 and was back to LA by about 7pm.
