Hey folks,

I just booked my flight to San Jose for my first ever visit to San Jose. Anyone want to meet up for a beer and do some mongering? First round is on me. I'm 34, from Cali (USA), and easy going. I plan to do the regular tourist stuff, play some poker, and of course look for some nice chicas while there. I have very basic understanding of spanish (4 yrs from high school). Most of my previous travels have been in Asia and Europe, and this will be my first time in Central America.

Looking forward to meeting anyone else if your there during the holidays.Would be fun to share some stories and experiences.

What up costanza! Im staying at the crowne plaza, in part because of the poker and also because i was able to get a great rate. I hear its only a few minutes from the gulch by cab. What bars are you guys planning to be at? I'll definetely keep my eye out. You should be able to spot me easily. I'll probably be the only asian guy there. I'm about 5'11, athletic type, shaved head ;)

Im really hoping it won't be completely dead during that week. Otherwise i just might book a flight midweek to colombia or DR!

Great to hear another possible wingman will be in the mix!

24th to the 31st will be my first visit as well. Hopefully we will bump into one another. I will need t keep a list of all those heading out during this time.

Here's the running list that I know of:

Cappodui: LA; 12/19 - 12/27
7Costanza: SL; 12/23 - 12/30
USA41: LA; 12/24 - ?
Xcelsius: LA; 12/24 - 12/31?
Caliguy: Crown Plaza; 12/24 - 12/31?

Cali:

I'm half asian too (Filipino/Irish), about 5' 7", relatively athletic. You guys can leave me a message at SL - just leave it for Eric H.

As for the most likely bars, we'll probably be at Hotel Del Ray or Key Largo. Another possibility for chicas and non-working girls would be Pueblo.

So what's the deal with poker at Crown Plaza? Is it hold 'em? Cash games & tournaments? I think that the Dunn Inn has hold 'em also, not sure if it's every day or what.

Sorry brother, but you will not have the market cornered on women looking for good looking asian guys.....lol I am always around at the SL. PM before you get in and we can hook up. Don't sweat the holidays, there is always something to do and there are always people lookin to do it!!!!
