Yes it's true! I live 8 miles from Georgia in the Big Bend and West of me is called "Northwest Florida" but it's really south Alabama. The Panhandle does have the rest of the state beat on beaches though.

North Florida (that's me) will be representing at the SL from 7 Jul - 13 Jul. If you hear a Floridian with an accent, that's me.
