I could say I have a casual acquaintance with a chica in CR. She's a regular. She recognizes me whenever I go. Last time, she did something very special for me on my birthday. I have contact info and all that and plan to let her know I'm coming next week. I write all this to say, I'd like to take her a gift. Something that doesn't say too much, but isn't stupid either. Something from America that can travel in carry-on would be ideal. You know? If you asked me for a price range, I'd say in the fifty dollar area, but depending on what it is, maybe more. I've been going down there since 2004 and that's about when she started in her particular line of work. She's always been good to me, even in realizing that while other girls were raising their rates and getting guys to pay that, she knows I will not. I would just like to show my appreciation. You can call me all the saps you want, but I also know someone on here has got to understand. |

You probably can get a little necklace with pendant for about $50 or $60. Just stop by the mall, the always have something inexpensive for woman or even a little bracelet. |

50 bucks of goodies from Victoria secrets at the airport or the bodyshop always works..Perfume is always appreciated, and there are very cheap sources on line. |

I have brought stuff from the body shop for favoritas & they seem to love it. It's not expensive & these girls have treated me well over many occasions, so I enjoy giving them a little something. Don't worry if someone rags on you for this, that kind of comment usually says more about the person who throws it at you. |

From experience, I would say anything from Victoria Secrets makes most Ticas very happy. Depending on your relationship with her, you could get her some lingerie, perfume, or lotions. Every now and then I will check the store in the nearby mall to see if they have any specials. Especially Lotions. For my last trip I got a dozen bottles of lotion with varying aromas for only $36.00 total. They love that stuff. |

What Muff and the other guys said. These gals like to feel pretty, like to feel appreciated, and the good ones shower so often, skin care stuff is very useful to them. How about some nice PJ's? Or a teddy? When you combine something practical/sexy/name brand, like stuff from VS, it is a no lose proposition. Vitamins are also appreciated. I like the vitamin E gel caps, as they can be pierced and the liquid rubbed on their skin to remove wrinkles or avoid/reduce scars, and then the half empty cap can be swallowed to improve their overall health. Your favorita is exactly what I am looking for. Consistent good service and a smile when I return after a long hiatus and no price jacking or upselling. Who could ask for more? |

Since you need to put in a carry-on, definately go with a necklace. You can find something nice for $50. I have done this with 2 of my favorita's and they were thrilled. Next time I am in SJ and we get together, they have the necklace on, are wearing it proudly and tell me they love it. IMHO, this small investment has reaped huge rewards in that our "dates" that were very good have gotten even better. |
