CR Virgin - Newbie!

My good buddy China Dave, of extensive Asian experience but little in CR, is heading from Heredia to Jaco for his first trip. Looking for advice on a moderate priced place to stay walkable to the Beatle and any other advice, wingman, etc.

Dave,

Jaco has a few decent places to stay, but I prefer Clarita's to all the rest. It is not the Ritz but has good memory foam beds, tv, ref., cold air, paddle fans,Wifi, pool,and
an open air bar and restaurant right on the beach. Food is Great and Cheap and the beer is the coldest in town and cheap.
ladies in daytime and at night, and live bands, cookouts every week.

Im going to be there for the first time mid may - going to take your advice and try and book a room
