Arriving April 9 and I have had a very bad month so I plan to get totally, irresponsibly, toilet-hugging drunk the first night then I will calm down and be the very picture of sobriety. I suggest that if anyone sees a half-naked hairy Scotsman with beer breath that they give him a very wide berth on the 9th. My only redeeming quality is that when drunk, I am not belligerant, and usually more coherent than when I am sober.

That's exactly how I spent my first night in Jaco. Luckily the toilet hugging paid off and I dodged a crippling hangover.

It's always the first night, freedom! And the fat man in the candy store aspect of it! Then I realise that I can't really drink every beer and phuck every woman in the world in my brief little walk on the planet.

You can't call yourself a Scotsman with only a one day drunk! A real Scotsman takes three days to get drunk, two days to get sober, and another day to find his way home.

After missing out on and reading about Cujopalooza for the last few weeks, I couldn't take it anymore and just booked my flight, $673 (OUCH!) from Dallas 4/8 - 4/13. I would like to stay at SL this time but LA will work. I'll make hotel reservations tomorrow and invite some wingmen who are long overdue for a trip.

Sorry, I was out of internet range for a spell and didn't post. Staying at La Amistad. A short tumble down the hill to the SL and the DR/KL. Looking forward to seeing you guys double on the 9th. Actually, it's all downhill from La Amistad, unless you are staying at the hospital.

My old wingman is in. He hasn't been to CR since our trip in April 2010. I'm two trips ahead so he has some catching up to do. I can't wait to show him what I've discovered and he missed out on during my solo trips!
