first time to Costa Rica. I've been reading the trip reports and finally decided to make the trip. i have been to PI about 15 times and Thailand half a dozen or so. if any one needs links or info on either place let me know i can help out with drivers, good hotels and places to see. i've got thousands of pics from the asia trips if anyone is interested and i can find out how to pst them. also tips on side trips to china, vietnam, cambodia, all done with good deals and fairly inexpensive. looking for some good people to hang with and get to know san jose a little. would like to know a few places to go with a chica for nice dinners etc. any help is greatly appreciated. just became a vip member, the discounts look great.

I'll be in SJ at the Sportsman Lodge 2/27- 3/1 and then again 3/31. Be in Tamarindo inbetween. Where you staying?

I will be down at San Jose around that time too, staying at Del Rey first 2 nights and then heading to Tamarindo for a few days of beach. I will be back to San Jose and staying at SL for the weekend before I head out. Maybe I will see you in Tamarindo TJ. I will be staying at the Flamingo there.

is there any action in Tamarindo, or just good beach and surf?

I am not sure about the action, I am going there to relax so have not really looked into what is around there in terms of action. I have read that there are places but that it the quality and variety of talent is not that great as compared to SJ. Then again this is only what I have researched... not sure if it helps.

Tamarindo has action but since the Casino closed it's tougher to find. Pacifico by the circle has girls as does Bar One up the hill. Thursdays at the Monkey Bar/Best Western is a sure bet. I'm importing a NICA for a week that I met in Managua in January. Rented a condo in Playa Langosta just south of Tamarindo, really part of Tamarindo. If you want to meet up. Go to Witches Rock Surf Camp, find Maria and tell her your looking for Tim.....................I'll probably be at the bar...................

Need a ride to Tamarindo. I'm at Sportsmans 2/27 and 2/28 and am driving to Tamarindo 3/1 in the AM????????????????
