I will be enjoying my third trip to Costa Rica later this month (Thursday 1/27) until early February (Wednesday 2/10). While the bulk of the trip will be in SJ, I am also getting in some fishing on both coasts. Trying for some snook or tarpon up near the Rio Colorado, and then scheduled for a charter out of Playas del Coco (hope the winds don't blow to hard that day) for dorado or yellowfin tuna. In town, I'll be at the Prez some nights, also the HLH, La Amistad and one other hotel. Also have a ticket for the super bowl party at the Sportsmans Lodge on the 6th. I've also done CostaRica without a wingman or even a wing women on my first two trips. Granted the first one was in 1978, and I'm not so sure the situation even required a wingman back then. Now that I'm older and hopefully a bit wiser, I see the benefit in having a wingman for most forays into the venues of SJ, especially after dark. Hope to meet some of my fellow CRT VIP members while in town. I'm also trying to arrange with Pops to take his wingman and area tours while there.
So, any advice you more experienced brothers can provide will be appreciated. Anyone know of other wingman services, or any ideas about learning the area better? Thanks!!
