My best friend and I are travelling to San Jose for the first time on Jan 14 through Jan 16 to celebrate his new bachelorhood. Thanks to this site, we've been linked up with Sergio (taxi driver) and booked into two rooms at the Dunn (the SL is sold out). I am writing to see if any fellow brethren will be there at the same time and care to explore the city and its lovely ladies together. We are both newbs when it comes to CR and would really enjoy having some guidance - though it sounds like the fellowship is quite strong there. I am unsure whether its OK to ask our taxi driver for advice.

I know I can search the wealth of information on this site (and will continue to do so), but was hopeful that one of the veterans from travel there may have some insight.

Thanks in advance and happy new year,
craig

I will be there from Jan 11 - 22. I regret that I should be there right now but snow storm in Atlanta grounded me today  Anyway I will be there tomorrow. I am not a vet. I've only been once last year but had a ball from what I can remember lol. Seriously you guys will have a great time. See ya there.

you've done your homework well. the dunn inn is a great place. they take very good care of you. pick up crt card from boyd, drink at bar, food is excellent, no guest charge for crt members, exit tax can be paid there saving time at airport, exchange USD, i wouldnt stay anywhere else ... unless it was a short stay at the hlh. lol

That's very reassuring to hear - thank you. I've seen several mentions to Boyd. Is he a manager? Can I simply ask for him when I arrive and request the card (I just signed up for VIP membership).

Thanks again,
