This will be my first trip to SJ. I've been to places like Colombia, DR, etc. Since I have some time off around Thanksgiving, I figured it would be a good time to try somewhere new. I've gotten mixed reviews on San Jose compared to the places I mentioned above. I plan to do some sightseeing and hooking up with non-pros, semi-pros or pros while in CR. I'm rolling solo so if anyone plans to be down there during that time, it would be great to meet-up and have a drink or hit a nice spot. I'm going with an open mind and plan to have a lot of fun

Thanksgiving is a good time to go to CR, the weather can be hit or miss. SL has a Thanksgiving dinner and there are always plenty of people to chat up at the bar.

Isn't the rainy season about over at that point?

Yes, but with all the micro-climates in Costa Rica its a good chance you might see some rain during November.

I plan to be there on thanksgiving too. It's my first time there.. I'm a bit worried about my safety. I hope walking around there is not too dangerous.

Haz201, take a cab Bro they are cheap. At night for sure use a cab. Hook up with an experienced wingman at the SL.

Maybe we can all meetup at a designated spot Thursday. Anyone have any suggestions on a good meeting place to touch base?

I'll be in SJO over Thanksgiving as well. I get in after Happy Hour is over, but will probably see those of you that are in the SL for Thanksgiving Dinner. Looking forward to a few days back there. 8)

If SL has the best setup for Turkey day and football that sounds like a good place to meet some members on Thursday around dinner time.

I will also be in town Thanksgiving weekend. I am not a newbie but it will be my first trip in a few years. I get in friday morning and will be staying at Amistad. As I am flying solo this trip it would be cool to meet a few others...

I plan on going over to SL in the afternoon probably around 3 or 4...

Pura Vida...
