SL can help you with your tee time etc.. They charge $45 for club rental, plus gringo fee's comes to about $100 to ride 18 w/caddy..

Hit them straight.. 8)

Good frigging luck, I tried to hook up with people for golf on many a trip, cancels, sick etc. etc. etc. If Cujo is in town you might have a shot. I think guys get down there and get into the pink stuff, booze, etc etc. And no golf comes about.

That's hilarious but so true. I do make a conscious effort to play not only because I like to play but its a very peaceful getaway. Smelling the morning dew in a tropical setting really makes you feel like your in Costa Rica.

Usually after playing I go back to SL for a nap, wake up, shower and feel like a million bucks. Its certainly worth the trip and always a great time with the right foursome

I played golf alone once in 2006 at Valle del Sol in Santa Ana. Taxi fare was $14 one way. Green fees and club rentals came to around $100. Nice course but started to rain after 9 holes.
Asked someone at SL if I could play at the Caliari Club but was told you have to stay at their resort.
May be fun if it does not rain and course is not muddy and you can find a couple of guys to share transport cost.

Good point...Depending on the time of year; its best to get there early NLT 7:30 so you can be free and clear by noon and potential showers..

Now if you come out in February with us, the air is much dryer and you have more time with little rain worries..

I am a PGA Professional and have never golfed in CR. I did stay at my buddies place in Los Suenos and was tempted. Maybe next time...yeah right!!!

at this time of year you better plan to play in the morning as it rains a lot in the afternoons in San Jose, often torrentially. also, if you join up with EZ Links golf (which is free)they offer discount tee times at several courses. i recommend that you bring balls, tees, gloves, shoes so all you need to rent is clubs. all this assuming you are really serious about playing. few actually make it out to the links. me, i play my golf back home in california. got better and more fun things to do in CR.
