I can't wait, it's my first time going to CR. I have been all over the world, but never to central america.

I'm staying at Holiday Inn Aurola. I know the "guest" fee is high, but I wanted the nice views, Plus i got 16 nights for 980 US.

Holiday Inn is a nice hotel, but that damn chica fee will kill you. And don't expect to pay $980 when you check out. If you only bring back one chica per day, your hotel bill will be double that when you leave. Enjoy your trip and let us know how everything went at the hotel.

I'm thinking of doing two hotels. The Chica fee would have for a room at sportmans. But what is better? I want to be close to the del ray.

If you want a view stay at the Holiday Inn for a few days.... By then you will be sick of the place and the hidden fees, like turniing on the TV or picking up the phone

You are in San Jose for a long time... move a few times to other friendlier hotels .... Three weeks in a hotel room unless it is a suite is along time

Here is what I would do ....
Holiday Inn (if you must ) for two days max
La Amistad for the rest of that week to wash out the bad taste the Aurola leaves in your mouth. I is very modern and get you laundry done for cheap

Sportsmans lodge party central for lots of us

Dunn Inn very laid back..

All chica friendly and CRT members get good discounts.... and quite close to Del Rey

I will be in town for your whole trip..... follow any of my advice and you owe me a beer

I can't get rid of the Aurola. It was a packed deal with travelocity. However, I did want to do some traveling. Depending on how it goes. I look at my room at the Aurola as a safe spot to keep all my stuff: cash, clothes, etc.

And when I get there, I'll unplug the phone, the TV, not use the bathroom, and sleep on the floor so that I don't get charged any additional fees

Things I want to do.

1. Go to Panam*a Cit*<--- this is a must.
2. Find a cheap flight and go to Lima for the weekend? maybe? <--- not a priority, but a thought.
3. at least have 30 new adventures, if you know what I mean.
4. Go to the Jaco beach or a beach well recommened by CRT.
5. Visit Del Ray
6. Have fun?

Do all the hotels have a/c or do you have to request it and look for it?

Sixteen days in San Jose' - You better start getting in shape. I'm planning a trip around that time for 7-12 days and will split it up between SL, LA, some time in Jaco and a couple nights at the DR. Our paths will surly cross.

Update:

After countless hours on the phone with travelocity, I got them to refund 13 nights on Aurola.

So, this is what I have so far:

Fly in 13th go to Aurola.
14th - Meet Pop's for the city tour and wingman tour that night.
15th - fishing / jaco ???
16-23 SL
24-25 ???
25-29 SL

I'm going to be at SL in a mansion delux 8/11/ - 8/17.....Castillo is a great choice also,...After four trips, I just wanted something different, and a little more upscale...I'll be the white guy drinking at any bar,.....
