What is the typical airfare from LAS to MDE? I am staying over in BC for about two more months and will probably be back in the fall for several months.

Where do you stay (hotel) in MDE? Are there SL or HDR like hotels -- leisure activity oriented which are okay with gringos?

Are leisure services obtained at hotels or MPs or both? Is it more or less like SJO?

While I understand your being captured by the Power of the Paisa, I am saddened to hear that SJO is no longer. I am (hopefully) coming-up on my third trip to MDE, in late-May, but have no plans to distance myself from SJO. MDE requires a few more days of travel, where I can easily pull a trip to SJO over a 3-day weekend where nobody is the wiser that I am even gone. MDE is just not possible to do in a 3-day weekend, so taking vacation days is necessary. So while I also prefer MDE, I will continue to drop into SJO if for no other reason than convenience. Not to mention, PLENTY of Hotties to occupy my time!
