First time in CR, staying at the Del Rey! Looking forward to it. Anyone else going to be there at that time?

I arrive at 12:30 p.m. on the 21st- It would be better if you stay at the SL or at LA. Rooms are nicer as well as more laid back atmosphere.

Hit the Del Rey hard and fast
If you do not like the room move to one of the other places mentioned
Have fun

hey man do NOT listen to these people...stay at the delrey for your first time....these other places may have a a nicer room but it is NOT the atmosphere of the delrey......if you want a great room stay at sleep inn....it is a 2 foot walk from the delrey ..you just walk through a casino and your there.....the delrey room is adequate its clean, just a little older hotel

The problem with the Sleep Inn, is the ridiculous chica fees that they charge. Your $100 + a night room could turn into quite a bit more if you have multiple sessions per day.

Does anybody know anybody who was discouraged from coming back to SJO because they stayed at the HDR? Even if it's a mistake to stay there (and that debate is endless and irresolvable), it's not a dreadful one. It'd be smart for him to use some of this time to scout the other locations for next time--and then maybe he'll come back to the HDR. The "Different Strokes..." Theory sure applies here. My 2 cents.
But most def' agree about the Sleep Inn, unless you are totally an MP kinda guy.

First timer? Stay at the rey. Its just such an overwhelming of the senses, it will never be forgotten. My newbie trip years ago, I barely left the hotel. 24 hour bar, restaurant, girls, and gambling? Sold.

I'm hooked up on the 6th floor with a balcony. I'm not really looking for laid back, I'm looking for gambling and plenty of putas. I'm a spanish speaker so I have that going for me. There's a good chance I won't leave the hotel the entire time I'm there. I picked the Del Rey because I'm working under the assumption that the largest amount of chicas work there at night. Basically, I'm just looking to gamble and chase tail.

First time in CR ??? Staying at the Del Rey ??? You mainly want to gamble and chase tail ??? In my opinion, you're staying exactly where you should be staying! And yes - your life will be "changed" after your trip.

There's a ton of different hotel options out there. And many of them have much better accomodations than the HDR. But are you looking for Egyptian linens and modern European bathroom fixtures ? Or are you happy with a mediocre room that's only a few steps away from a casino with pu$$y available , 24/7 ?

Don't change a thing. You'll be fine! Have a great trip, and make sure to post a trip report when you return. And you also might want to sign up as a CRT VIP before your trip. It can easily pay for itself on your 1st trip. Plus the map(s) and the info in the VIP section are worth it alone.

MG
