It's ok up to the Wednesday before Easter Sunday. From Thursday to Easter it's indeed a ghost town, chica-wise. Thursday (Holy Thursday) and Friday (Good Friday) are official holidays in CR (it's a Catholic country after all), the country pretty much shuts down then, no alcohol can be sold, chicas go with their families to the beach. There will still be at least a few chicas around, probably bottom-of-the-barrel types, but honestly it's the absolute worst time for a mongering trip in CR. Go before or after, or someplace else.
