Planning next trip (as always)........thinking about Feb. 4-8 or Feb. 18-22.

Is Super Bowl weekend in SJ good, bad or no different than any other weekend? Wondering if it may be like a Memorial Day or Labor Day weekend when extra part time chicas come in from all over to handle the influx of gringo's (I luv those part timers!!).

Hoping Super Bowl weekend could be kind of a "diamond in the rough" great party time in SJ.

Pffft, please bro. There will be quite a few of us there for SB. Look for a new roll call announcement in a few weeks.

BTW, the Costa Rica Presidential election is on the same day of the Superbowl - February 7th, 2010. I see they repealed the "dry election" laws...

I was also strongly considering SB weekend but in trying to get a room at SL the woman on the phone sort of laughed at me. LOL.

Also, what's the name of the hotel on the left side as you're walking down the hill from SL to HLH? Is that Castillo?

It is not a dry day you just can not buy booze but you can drink it
It is a BYOB day so one must plan ahead
Private partys are exempt

The Ley de seca has been repealed. Election day is no longer dry you can buy as much booze as you want. Bars, restaurants, clubs, markets, etc. can openly sell it.

We still have some rooms available at the Dunn Inn Superbowl week but they are going fast.
