Hello lads,
First I would like to say hello to everyone and introduce myself. My name is Patrick, and will be coming to SJ for the first time on the 26th of November, for a 15 day and 14 night adventure. I'm retired US Army, and have been working in Afghanistan for the past five years.

I have been to 41 countries and have been to Thailand twenty - two times

This will be my first time in CR..... Anyone want to go out for a beer or three, send me a PM. Any fellow Thailand buffs, let's get together and compare notes. Anyway, I wish everyone the best, and looking forward to reading through the vast knowledge here on the board. Have a great day.

Patrick,
With such a long trip, you should really think about leaving San Jose for a few days in the middle of the trip, or even twice for a night or two around day 5-6 and day 10-11. You don't want to phuck yourself into a coma. It'll give you a chance to recharge a little, plus you can actually see the beautiful country that CR really is, outside of the pollution and beggars of San Jose.

Some suggestions:
-overnight trip to Arenal Volcano and Hot Springs
-a few days to Manuel Antonio (beach & national park)
-a few days to the Pacific coast (Guanacaste area) for the beaches and the wildlife
-a few days to the Caribbean coast to see a different side/culture of CR

LOL, don't think I will Phuck myself out,,,,,,,,,,, I have been around quite a bit :D

NO, I DO NOT know everything,,,,,,,,,,,, but I have been to alot of countries and have tried the local delights

I don't need company every night,,,,,, just give me the booze, some music, no hassels (and no Policia) problems, and I am fine.

If I like CR (my first trip), I will be coming down every third month. I ususally go to Thailand, but with the cost of Airfare, looking for somwhere closer to home.

Actually, I was looking at going to Panama (speak english, and use the $), but Costa RIca came up on the search engine, so I thought I would give it a try.

Hope everyone has a great day,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,, OH YEAH,,,,,,,,,,,,,,

FIVE DAYS AND A WAKE UP
