I have made this post many times before and this year I have decided to copy last year`s post (with a few updates) "OK guys,,,it is that time of year again. The 7th Annual Dongordo Birthday Bash will be on Friday August 28 and will again be at Costa del Sol Restaurante. This has always been a popular event and I thought that i would take a moment to explain its origin and purpose. It is more than a birthday bash.What it really is, is an opportunity for a group of guys to get together and enjoy each others company while also enjoying the hospitality of one of our favorite eateries. Ronald goes out of his way to prepare special antipasta and appetizers as well as his incomparable chicken parmesan,also known as the "Especial de Dongordo". It all started as an excuse for a few guys to have dinner together in a private setting where we could relax and be ourselves. The party falls on my birthday (64 this year) but at the stroke of midnight we also celebrate CiaoCiao`s birthday which traditionally is celebrated at Key Largo with shots of our favorite liquor. We will be meeting in the lobby area of the Hotel DelRey around 6 pm and then walk down the hill to Costa del Sol at around 6:30 where once again we will enjoy a fine meal and the comaraderie that is unique to our CRT brotherhood" I am sure that this year`s bash will be another memorable evening.I will be in town with my brother from Aug 25 to 30 probably at the Hotel Morazon. |

Regrettably I am leaving San Jose on the 28 to attend a shindig in NJ celebrating my sisters birthday. It is one of those milestone birthday years that make a big family gathering mandatory. Sorry to miss the bash this year and wish you a great day and many more. |

And a fine tradition it has become!  I look forward to the food, the fellowship, the many lies that will be tossed around, and perhaps a trip to Idem before the midnight toast.

Dammit!! I've already booked a Nature Air flight to the coast on Friday morning! Last year's party was great, the food was outstanding and the company was top notch. Sorry to have to miss this year's party. But looks like there'll be no shortage of goodfellaz around. Enjoy your day DG. Same to you Ciao! MG

Don and Cio, Sorry I will not be there. The youngest is starting a new high school and I have to be there. Wish both of you a happy birthday. And notice that both of you have quieted down on the board of late. I hope it is because there are so many good things going on in your life. |
