Does anyone think the 4th of July Party at Hotel M is worth the 30$ cover charge? Will it include food and/or drinks? Are ladies going to be available? or will the Sportsman Lodge be the most bang/bang for the colones? If not, there's always the DR! |

Will be in town on the 4th and was wondering where a good party would be. I guess from what I am reading there are 3 places to party. M, SL and the DR. I do not see the DR as a special type party place. Is Bill having a 4th party at SL? If so that is where I will be. If not I would entertain the M if it is a CRT event. |

Having gone to the Hotel M Fourth party one year, I would not return to the Hotel M, ever. If you are a high roller, it might be fine. The ladies basically would not look at me, much less talk to me. The next night, some of the same ladies at the SL were offering services at less than half the price, and treating me like Brad Pitt. I asked one of the bartender's' for dollars to give to the girls working the stage (very lame), and she just said "No, I don't have any", and turned her back on me. The front desk begrudgingly finally came up with a few, but it was like pulling teeth. It took quite a while to get a cab back also. All-in-all, probably my worst experience in CR. IMO, stay at the SL, Bill will have something happening. Health & happiness to all..... Steve - Santas Bro |

I would go to the American Embassy party. I went a few years ago and it was actually a lot of fun. http://www.americancolonycr.org/ |

I agree, its a good time and good value for the money, it was free back then and only $4 now. But no reason you can't do the picnic and party at the SL in the evening. The Embassy picnic is over by noon to avoid the afternoon rain showers. |
