Arriving San Jose around noon on June 20; staying at Casa 69 B&B (near National Museum) for one night (departing for Puerto Viejo Sunday morning). First time in Costa Rica. (The only similar experience I have is Subic Bay, Philippines, in the early 1980s.) I'm 46 and ready to have some fun with some cute young ladies. Not interested in lots of drinking or dancing, but would be fine at a bar or club. Really looking for a couple of memorable sessions and just to have fun and relax.

dude, seriously, do yourself a favor and join the board.

the maps and pics alone are worth it.

not to mention all the discounts on lodging and food.

think about it, considering all the expense of going on vacation to CR, the cost of membership is a small, small investment that pays for itself.

Many, many members here will be glad to help you, but you need to contribute also with trip reports, pics, etc...

for instance, I return in kind with timely tips on upset stomach remedies.

ask anyone.

Johnny has some good points.

The hotel del rey is the hot spot. Take a cab.

#2 is a hotel called the sportsmen lodge. There are always a good bunch of americains there. And the owner's name is Bill and he will try to answer your questions.
Have fun
