Hello All, This is my first post. I have just registered and will become a member of CRT. I will be flying down on July 2 and leaving July 9th. That should give me plenty of time to get a "lay" of the land. I have not made hotel/motel reservations yet. I would like to do some chicas while there, but also spend some time at a beach, small town, etc. (preferably with a chica - to kill 2 birds with one stone). Is anyone else going to be in CR at that time? Anyone local want to help a fellow member out with advice, tour, etc? Any local 4th of July parties? I'm coming solo and am open to suggestions, invitations, etc. |

Freddito, Hey, I will be in CR on July 2nd and would be glad to hook up and buy you a drink. I am staying at the Sportsmen's Lodge...which I highly recommend. I will be getting back from Uvita in the afternoon of July 2nd so if you meet me at the Bar I'll buy you a drink. what time is your flight? |

As Lex says, SL is good and so is La Amistad. You might want to get that reservation done ASAP. I will be coming in the 5th, 11:35 am. I plan on going around to all the MP's, Mon - Thur. You are welcome to come along. I will be going to Relax on Sun afternoon after check-in before unpacking. Pretty much all the advice you need is available to you within this forum. Unfortunately, I didn't really start reading until after my second trip. Luckily, I didn't make too many newbie mistakes bcs a CRT member was nice enough to be a wingman for me. As far as taking girls to the beach or small towns, I am not any help at all. There are 18838 registered users here, 18837 know more than I do. I just go there for the ladies. Dean |

Gentlemen, thank you for the responses. I was beginning to fearful that I was not going to hear from anyone. I arrive at 12:10pm into SJO. I will probably arrange to have Dos Gringos pick me up. I will look into both SL and La Amistad. I will look to me both of you, share a drink and enjoy the view. I hestitate to book the whole week at any one hotel, since I really would like to do some other sight seeing. What do you guys recommend? |

You could book a night or two in Jaco if you want to visit a beach with chicas. Also you can take many different day tours from your hotel in San Jose and see some sights while leaving your evenings free for, you know. A holiday weekend so don't worry, you probably won't be able to take a piss without hitting another CRT member

As has been said.......try to stay at the SL. If you can't, then just spend some time hanging around the bar and meet some of the fellas. You will surely pick-up a few tips each day that would take you a long time to learn on your own. When I first started travelling to SJO, I stayed at the Prez, but I spent alot of time at the SL. Not I stay there exclusively unless there is no room at the Inn. I learned alot just hanging out at that bar and am sure you will, too! |

You need to romance - negotiate her time for 2-3 days when you could have differnt Ticas each day. You can get a driver for the day or rent a car. It's faily easy to get there and I get Lost Easy... |

Activated immediately, the card mailed in 7-10 days unless you made arrangements to pick-up down there. |
