Post subject:  Arriving SJ March 25 and leaving the 31st. first time to CR

I've always been curious about CR and after seeing this site I just have to go and see it.

I'm gong to be staying at SL on the 25th and 26th. I don't know where to say for the rest of it, I was thinking Del Ray but I'm not sure. Does anyone have any recommendations?

Also, I read the newbie section but I'm wondering what the best strip clubs are to go and see. Any new ones??

If anyone's going to be in SJ from 3/25 to 3/31 let me know

ive got the same problem(different dates)i opted for a suite at hotel amistad ive read good things about them.sl is perfect for a first timer,a wealth of information and experience is usually in the bar.the del ray is an option but chica fees are not something i am willing to pay on principle.id rather pay a little more for a room somewhere else.a v.i.p membership pays for itself on even a short trip as it gives you 10% off a sportsmens(room and bar)and the amistad also honors it.
happy hunting

Forget the strip clubs for a first time trip. You're thinking like a gringo with an American mentality. This is CR... a completely different ballgame altogether.

Hopefully you have found this thread. If not read, memorize and then read it again. It will make everything clearer.

Jackramher, I'm definitely up for a drink! I'll be staying at the SL on the 25th and 26th but then staying at the del ray on the 27th and 28th. Haven't decided on the 29th and 30th yet. What is the HLH?

Thanks Josie for the link, I did read that before and it's a gold mine worth of info.

Berk2302 and anyone else that would know, I understand that CR is a different ballgame than other countries, but can anyone give me some information about the strip clubs in SJ like what the best ones are right now, and where to get cover free passes if they exist? I'm going to be there for 6 nights and I want to change up the scenery each night that I'm there. Thanks in advance :)

HLH is a massage parlor and a hotel and a better place than any strip club
Strip clubs in SJ (San Jose) open for the night time crowd and you can get fleaced real bad if one is not careful Not my bag but you will find brothers that like going so if you want to see a strip club in SJ go for it just bring a couple of friends
I bet that once you see what is on the market you will forget about this avenue

Hey VitaminC,

I suggest that you Not stay at the Delray. The rooms at the Delray aren't all that great plus why pay the chica fee's if you don't have to. There are so many other better places to stay. Try La Amistad or Castillo. They are both only about a block or so from SL and both are affordable. Once you get to know the place you'll find many options that work well for you. :D

As for the strip clubs, just wait until after your first day/night in CR. If your still thinking about strip clubs then try Panta Rosa. I met and sessioned with some of the ladies from that club on my last trip and I've never even been in or near the place that I know of.

Just my 2c. You'll have a great time I'm sure of that!

Amistad is a good second choice, less expensive, and, if memory serves, its close to HLH. If you want something more luxurious, try the Presidente.

Lets have a beer when I arrive on 3/26.

HAHA yeah I've been fleeced at a strip club before, every strip club has some rip off that you need to find out about before hand or learn the hard way.

I was at a strip club in Mexico City and made the mistake of buying a few girls drinks not knowing that they cost $20 each, and they add a non negotiable 20% gratuity on your bill. I don't think I bought more than 3 drinks and somehow my bill came to over $400, and when I said I wouldn't pay that they threatened physical harm! I'm guessing that the strip clubs in CR aren't that bad, but is there anything specific that I need to watch out for??

I recently went on my first trip to San Jose and stayed at the Amistad. I really enjoyed the stay there. Ask for room 313 or 312. Both have fantastic views of the city. 312 is the penthouse so it is more expensive but its huge and has a giant plasma screen and jacuzzi.

I contracted with Pops to show me around and be my wingman. He was great. Its a small amount of money for a wealth of information. I would definitely give him a try. Check our his site at popsguides.service.net
