If you're plans are to stay in SJ then things should be ok but be sure to stop by the Red Cross and donate a few colones.

Is it still o.k. to visit San Jose or should I postpone because of the earthquake. All my prayers for the people of Costa Rica. |

I live between San Jose and the quake center and have noticed very few changes. Buses are running, utilities work and people who live much closer to the center are experiencing no problems. I wouldn't plan to visit volcano Poas but other than that live is normal. Sportsman's Lodge was full last night with Florida and Oklahoma fans enjoying the game together. I won $20 on Florida so life is great. The girls were plentiful and dressed their best. I actually saw one session with a guest shortly before the game started. During the game they were pissed. They couldn't give it away. |
