I've got a month before it's back to life and back to reality here ... I went to Costa Rica last year at this time, San Jose, the Caribbean side (booo!) and Jaco. I'd like to do SJ, Jaco and one more spot at least on this swing. Is it still raining like crazy and how is the flood/road situation now? I am trying to slam a ton of fish box, hit the beach and chill. If shit is dead, I'd just as soon cut my losses and round trip to Santo Domingo or Bogota. I'd appreciate any info regarding these specific dates. I may be interested in renting a place in San Jose if the price is right and in any event would be down to meet up with some fellow mongerers for a drink and, of course, some ass chasing, er, ass catching ![]() |

wilt...from my buddy that lives in san jose ...he says it rains most everyday later in the afternoon....what you say about getting trapped on the roads going to the beach areas is true..so screw the beach !!!san jose has a lot of things to do...you can make the call about going to the beach area once your here. Looks like you are here about a month so it will be pretty easy to guess what the rain can do to your plans...where are you staying ? we get in on the 9th staying at sportmens... |

hey, yeah, i just said screw it and went ahead and booked, $320 for a multi-leg trip going from philly to san jose and then back home to los angeles. i am going to play the stay by ear, i might rent a place if i wind up staying in san jose the full time but more likely either a hostel or a hotel that will cut me a fair price paying cash and staying long term. i'm pretty easy as that stuff goes, i am just coming for the sun and, above that, the *slurp* linnnguinnni! let's stay in touch, i've been once before so i am not a total novice. |

Hey Wilt. I will be there Nov 20-23. I'm having quite a few ladies over for a party of sorts at SL over that weekend. It's gonna be some good times if you want to stop by and say what's up.. Cujo |

Why drive 4-6 hours? You can fly Nature Air or Sansa to just about anywhere for a low price, and get there in under an hour. |

Thanks for the tip, last time I took the local bus to Jaco but weather was perfect so no worries. I am thinking of heading to some other cities/countries while I am there (went to Panama last time, eh, was unimpressed). I will have to check and see where Sansa flies, I know of Nature Air. |

FYI-Nature Air is usually cheaper. They have some good deals, as low as $29 each way if there are many seats. Sansa is more expensive at about $80 each way. |

Thanks, yeah I flew NatureAir from Bocas del Toro back to San Jose last year, think it was just a hair over $100. Where is the nearest aeropuerto to Jaco? |

Quepos. But it's more like an air STRIP, not a formal airPORT. ![]() |
