OK guys,,,it is that time of year again. The 6th Annual Dongordo Birthday Bash will be on Thursday Ausust 28
and will again be at Costa del Sol Restaurante.
This has always been a popular event and I thought that i would take a moment to explain its origin and purpose.
It is more than a birthday bash. What it really is, is an opportunity for a group of guys to get together and enjoy each others company while also enjoying the hospitality of one of our favorite eateries. Ronald goes out of his way to prepare special antipasta and appetizers as well as his incomparable chicken parmesan, also known as the "Especial de Dongordo".
It all started as an excuse for a few guys to have dinner together in a private setting where we could relax and be ourselves.
The party falls on my birthday (63 this year) but at the stroke of midnight we also celebrate CiaoCiao`s birthday which traditionally is celebrated at Key Largo with shots of our favotite liquor.
We will be meeting in the lobby area of the Hotel DelRey around 6 pm and then walk down the hill to Costa del Sol at around 6:30 where once again we will enjoy a fine meal and the comaraderie that is unique to our CRT brotherhood

I, of course, will attend. Don Gordo, thanks for allowing me to share the Key Largo celebration with you. :D

I first attended DG's bash two years ago during my second trip to Costa Rica. Right beforehand, I was at ZB, getting me some trim. I mentioned to Pamela that I was heading off to the Del Rey to meet Don Gordo for his birthday bash. Of course, the all the girls within earshot squealed, "Oh Don Gordo, Don Gordo." Then Pam kissed me and told me to deliver the birthday kiss to DG, which I told her I would do. When I met DG and the 20 or so other CRTers at the DR, I made good on my promise to Pamela and planted a kiss on DG's bald head. Having just met him, I thought I should explain the breach of etiquette, at the worst, or odd form of greeting, at best. After I explained it to him, he reminded me that Pam had pleasured miles of penises with that mouth and that a handshake would have been adequate.

Not withstanding that misstep, I went on to have a great evening with the guys, heading en masse to Costa del Sol for a fantastic dinner and then over to Idem for dessert. It was that evening that I met my favorita, and I've been obliged to DG ever since.

I hope to see some veterans and new faces there this time around. I wouldn't miss it!!!

Ciaociao

I've met DG on several occasions but my timing never worked out to attend his bash. Well since I arrive on the 27th I'll be sure to stop by and pay respects this year. If he doesn't remember me, I'll chalk it to getting older

Looking forward to it 8)

Cujo

DG,

Although I do not consider myself a newbie, I look forward to attending my first-ever Don Gordo B-day bash! :!:

Ciaociao
has assured me from past experiences that this will be a great event with a lot of fun, especially what happens afterwards :D Throw in Mucho Gusto and I'm sure there will be something fishy going on! YEH!

So, add CalifKen to this list 8) I'm sure I'll have quite an appetite THAT night! :D
