This will be my 5th (maybe 6th) SJ trip. Been busy with Lima, Quito, and Medellin in recent years. But the Continental flight for $315 (RT, including taxes) available exactly when I had a 4-day weekend was irresistible. If you'll be in SJ on any/all of the above dates, PM me. I prefer the lower-end MP adventures, and might enjoy having a wingman or two. Gracias. Mac |

Macmasher, I'll also be staying at the Castillo during that time, PM me when you get there. I also am of the adverturous type and wouldn't mind hitting the seedier MPs. Hell I might even hit them before your arrival. |

I will be staying at the Sportsmens Oct 8 thru the 19th. Would love to go on an adventure or two, Love going to the Tico places, MPs during the day and Molino Rojo, Arcadias, etc. at night. |

How 'bout a trip to the low-end strip clubs on the night of Friday the 10th? Did one on my last trip and had a blast. With 2-3 guys, it makes sense to get a dedicated Tico driver for the night. I know I felt better knowing my ride was waiting right outside the seedier clubs in the rougher parts of town. As I recall, for around $30-35 (split among participants) and a couple beers, he drove us and kept us (feeling) pretty safe for 3-4 hours. But this gringo may have over-or-under paid (comments welcome). Last time, it was Julio (often at the SL). Wonder if he's still around (as if SJ has one cabbie named Julio... smile)? |
