Coming in on a flight from Miami, I'm pretty excited. How many of y'all will be there?

I've read that the bar closes at 11... what are the alternatives in the area past then?

Also, I noticed that at times SL does have a poker tourney and other times it doesn't, will there be any poker tomorrow? Or late tonight? (I'm coming in around midnight...)

Any tips and advice will be really helpful, as this is my first stay at SL.

I spoke with Carol, she's the one who made my reservation. She told me that reception is closed past 11 but security will have my key, anyone have problems in the past with this method??

Ya, I'm excited :D

Got in too late, flight was delayed. I got to the Sportsmens last night and it was virtually empty by midnight :( . I'm in the bar now, not much going on either.

Will head to the Del Rey and see if there's anything going on there!

Pura Vida!

Remember there is no gaming commission in Costa Rica. Casinos are on their own as far as how they set up the machines to what odds and rules they set for the table games. No independent agency inspects the equipment or audits the books.

But occasionally someone wins at most of the casinos. It just not as frequent as one would reasonably anticipate.

Good luck, last I heard they were still waiting to let a guy win this month

Paid for my first trip in Dec. with all the fixings at the Blackjack - Rummy table at the HDR. Came back with $500 more than I left with and plenty of great memories
