I'm on my way down on Feb 22 to help my Novia move out and celebrate my birthday. If any of my buds are in town give me shout so we can hook up. I'm not feeling upset at all, but exceptionally relieved. It's like a load has been lifted from my shoulders and I'm looking for two chicas so that I can call Vegas Bob in the morning.

I'll write more on the Novia breakup later, but suffice it to say it relates to her consistently incredibly stupid judgement. As comedian Ron White says, "You can't fix stupid." I've had enough. NEXT.

Lenny,

I am sorry to hear this. i know you treated her well and had genuine good intentions. I also know you were careful all the way. I too have made the break as of 48 hours ago. I am not quite ready to publicly discuss just yet but I will enjoy seeing you.

It's a pretty well known fact that I am one of the lead exponents of not having a monogomous relationship in a Latin American country with a present, former,or never has been a puta. However, in the cases of the previous posters on this subject,I commend them for knowing when to move on. (my version of the MG "NEXT") It isn't the easiest thing to do,but realizing the time has come can save a lot of unnecessary grief. I feel that the chicas we experience here in CR have been trained from birth to "capture" a Gringo and live on "easy street" for the rest of their lives. It's possible,I guess, for one of these relationships to survive, but the odds certainly are against it. So I guess my suggestion to anyone contemplating,or even worse, looking for a relationship here in CR, ask yourself if you will be able to just walk away WHEN it doesn't work out just as these posters have done.

VB,

I am still in the camp that if you want to try and are smart about protecting yourself then you should go for it. I went ahead and posted a little about my break up in the Novia section, because I was getting pms from good friends expressing concern for both of us.

Lenny,

When you told LionKing and myself about your 'arrangement' a couple of weeks ago at the Winghouse, I was somewhat concerned about the situation, for your sake, since you hadn't known her for that long.
One has to be very, very careful in a situation such as that. I hope everything turns out OK. As I told you at the Winghouse, nearly all the chicas there are somewhat 'mentally challenged' regarding most things. They can be very devious. Their own family always comes first! They aren't exactly the 'brightest bulbs'. Send me a PM if you want...I'd like to know what happened.

Once again, Vegas Bob is wise beyond your years. I bow humbly to your vast knowledge.
