Just booked a last minute trip to CR. This will be #2 this year. I have stayed at the SL previously but my procrastination has led me finding them being booked that weekend. So the Amistad it is. Carlos has me in one of the suite apts in the new area. Can anyone give me info on those rooms? Are they done with the construction yet? Also I could use a wingman. Let me know if you want to meet up for a drink.

Tanager - sounds like fun I haven't been to the strip clubs yet in CR and would at least like to check them out. My time frame is pretty short this trip but I plan on packing in a lot.

Last time I barely left the SL on my trip, although I had fun I wanted to get out more and see other hot spots but the rainy season kept me inside - thankfully not alone.

Maybe we can all meet up somewhere Friday night or Saturday and head out.

I'll be in San Jose 12/6 to 12/9 as well. I'm at the SL on the first night and the Castillo after that.

PM me, please, if you want to make a plan. Otherwise it always seems to be pretty easy to meet guys down there and plan on the spot.

I would like to have a wingman for the nighttime excursion to Pantera Rosa and Las Margaritas. Last time I was there, I had a blast at Las Margaritas.

I always hate the week before a trip. I can't focus on sh*t, as I sit here in my office looking out the window instead of working.

I keep looking at at Ddreams trip counter and thinking - yep next week this time, I'll be landing in CR.

Anyway, I'm really getting excited about this time around. Thanks to everyone for the feedback here. After reading prostoners report on Le Grillion I think that would be a blast.

Now for the logistics part of it, for anyone interested in a late night strip club tour we should at least have a starting point. IMHO the DR would pose a problem to meet at because of its size and sheer number of distractions. What could be a decent group of people starting could very quickly diminish before even getting a cab.

I propose meeting up at a smaller but equally fun beginning point, say the SL around 10pm on Friday night. We could get a bus or cab from there and hit the Grillion. Don't get me wrong the DR is definetly still on my list for Fri night but I just don't know when.

Anyway that is just my idea -- I'm open to other suggestions.
What do you guys think? No matter what happens though it will be fun.

I said I wanted to go last time, but after all the days excitement I was just too pooped out. not this time, I'm there 2 weeks so I can pace myself. I was only there 52 hours last trip.

I'll be with my fiancee most of the time, but I'd like to meet up for a drink and to catch up. Listen, forget Pantera Rosa, it has gone way down hill since that fun night we had there a couple years back. It's now packed (Fri-Sat), the prices fluctuate more than the stock market, and the quality is average. Go to Le Grillion, we went on Friday and it was off the hook. I'll be in town December 5 thru 11 and would enjoy meeting some of you guys, especially for a trip to Le Grillion, on Orange's advice. ColonelJames: I'd enjoy buying you a beer. DDream: I'm staying at ZB on the 10th and 11th and would enjoy meeting you beforehand to discuss strategies, etc. for my stay. Ddream It doesn't matter to me - I'm just along for the ride. I just figured the SL wouldn't be a bad venue to start from. So long as everyone can agree on a place I'm cool with it. I'm still planning on meeting up w/ you around 6 so if you hear of where the others want to meet let me know then.
