Sorry for the repost, but I now understand the wisdom of putting the dates of my trip in the subject line.

I am making my first trip to San Jose, arriving October 29 and departing November 2. I'll be staying a the SL. My spanish is limited and would like to meet with others for guidance and comraderie.

Be there the 1st -4th for a short trip. Staying at the Morazan (everything else booked). Been to SJO a few times this year so I'm not totally green but I always enjoy meeting fellow CRT members. SL and BM are kind of wierd to hang out in by yourself.

Let's see if we can get some people together.

Sorry fellas, been out of action for a few weeks. I am checking into the SL on 10/29 and will be checking out on 11/2. I also have one of the rooms in ZB for holloween night (DDream, we are gonna have a party!!) I am looking forward to meeting as many CRT members as the opportunity will permit; helps having faces to go with names. Quevedo, I accept your offer. Your 3 previous trips are 3 more than mine, and I would definitely appreciate a translator as my spanish is meager.

Gents,
I will be staying down the street at the Castillo Hotel and two of my favorite places are ZB and Sportsmen's. I fly in October 29th for a week and will run into you one way or another. The first beer is on me.

My flight's scheduled arrival in San Jose is 8:55 PM. Am I going to have trouble getting to the SL? or will the taxis be where they are supposed to be?

Made it in 5 hours late last night. We were already a 1/2 hour late when the pilot broke off his first landing attempt mid-decent because of "weather conditions." After 20 more minutes in a holding pattern above San Jose, they followed "company policy" and continued on to Panama, where the passengers destined for there got off and we sat for 2-1/2 hours while the plane was "refueled" before we returned to San Jose. The landing took 3 more attempts before we finally touched down (not to mention some manuvering that included tighter turns than commercial airlines are wont to make.) I got to the SL at 3:30 after 20 hours on the road. After a brief 3 hours of restless sleep, the Ticas are unsafe today!!
