Just joined the board today on a recommendation from a friend. I'm going to be in SJ some time in Nov before/after poker tournaments and looking for a wingman as it will be my first time there. I guess I will post again when I have my details finalized.

You better make your reservations quick! The Sportsmens and La Amistad are almost totally sold out for November. I think the economy must be picking up because this is evidence of a lot of pent up leche about to be release in one big economic blow.

Fellow November Mongers..

I am arriving into SJO Thr night Nov 5. and leaving on Monday the 9th.

As of now I am planning to stay all 4 nights at the SL...But.. I am now thinking of spending a couple of nights out in Jaco for 2 of those nights...

I've been to several places throughout CR, but not been to Jaco. I've heard the good & bad, but I need to get out there first hand regardless.

What I am thinking about now is to get into SJO and stay at SL the night of the 5th and then head from San Jose to Jaco on Friday the 6th returning on Sunday the 8th.

I am completely fine arranging to take one of the bus services (Greyline or Interbus I think it is) which is approx $30 each way, but if there is anyone else that is interested in going out that way I'd much rather prefer hiring a taxi. At least we could easily enjoy a few brews en route and not deal with all of the stops etc.

I have my eye on staying at Clarita's which has very reasonably priced rooms out there.

Lastly - I would be interested in getting out for some fishing (or golfing) on Saturday the 7th which I would be happy to arrange if others are interested in going out that way........ And of course, would have to check out the Beetle Bar...

Then - come back to San Jose for football and women on Sunday..

Anyone with interest with 2 days in Jaco during this weekend?

I'll be there November 12 through 19... 2nd trip. Staying at SL. Looking forward to meeting a few of you guys... Know very little Espanol, need a wingman/tourguide. And if anyone is up for any other activities like a trip to Cartago, drop me a line. What's the weather like in November... anyone... anyone?

Hi, first time CR visitor, should be a blast.
I will likely be at the Dunn Inn on the 14th night, until checkout 18th.

Want to do some non-mongering.. looking at the half-day ATV tour with Cary (see discount page). Any chance you'd be interested in that?

My brother and I plan to do one day on ATV's, maybe see the volcano.

My brother wants to do the zip line stuff. I have been-there-done-that with other zip lines. Its kind of a kiddie thing, in my opinion. Does anyone think the Costa Rica zip lines are worth checking out?
