I'm probably just going to leave my wife before our 10th anniversary, at 10 years married they can get Alimony in Texas.
I'm at 8 years now, so I got to do it this year sometime. (In case the divorce takes a year) I'm hoping to keep it short.

Just be sure to use the same currency you negotiated...just so there's no math involved. Be clear whether it is "cien" colones or dollars and don't assume anything. A moment of caution here can save an hour of agony later. Also, agreeing to pay $100 USD for your "groceries" and then whipping out cincuenta mil colones at the register could be a problem.

It's all good information on this board and we all have opinions, but mine is stay at the Sportsmen's [Party central] and go with the flow. You will meet like minded mongers to help with boots on the ground info. The one constant is that plans easily go astray and you have to be resilient enough to go to plan B or even C, D or F. That being said the constant flow of women at the Sportsmen's is good and the MP'S and Hotel Del Rey are all close by. You should find a wingman while your there and if he has been there before he can show you the ropes.
You will have a great time and might [Ha Ha] be coming back for more!!! I've only been going since 1994 and make sure I make it at least twice a year to keep a smile on my face.
