CONGATULATIONS!! Hope it all works out for you both. I know you've been patiently waiting for awhile now.

I was wondering about the having to stay in the US for a year only because I know a Tica who married a gringo in NY and she retrurned home after about two months and has done so on a regular basis afterwards. They met a match-making party at El Castillo HOtel a few years back, maybe the law has changed.

Good luck!

Sounds like the fireworks on the 4th are going to be at the SL. A year without Ruffnutz is like a day without sunshine. I don't drink that Jaggershit but I'll certainly be there for a beer or two.

Gents,

It's been a long time coming, but I finally got the visa approved for my friend and I will be flying to Costa Rica on July 3 to pick her up. We will stay at the Sportsman's Lodge on Wednesday July 4th, we figured it would ring poetic to have our last night be where she met me while bartending there.

Anyways, due to the fact that she has to stay in the U.S. for quite some time (up to a year) without leaving, that means, of course, that I will be absent from the next 365 days' of fun and activities in Costa Rica.

I'm hoping many of the old friends I've made over the years are coming in for the long holiday weekend, I'd love to have my last few jagerbombs in Costa Rica surrounded by "Goodfellaz" and "Sexy Bitches" alike.

So here's to one last night in paradise... and the first rounds on me. I look forward to seeing everyone on the night of July 4th.

Bill, make sure the Jager's cole and there's plenty of Red Bull.... Who's getting sloshed with me?!?

Ruffnutz

My heartiest congratulations to my good friend and former "partner in poon". We certainly shared some memorable experiences back in those halcyon days of 2005, but I'm glad to see you've found someone special - and that she indeed is - who provides you with the fulfillment you've always been seeking.

If there's any chance I can make it down for the 4th (meaning, if I can come up with a good enough excuse to miss two days of work at this point), I'd be honored to share in the festivities.

Just one thing - if she is indeed to become your fiancee and possible future wife, you're going to have to stop referring to her as your "friend" at some point...

Thanks for all the great comments and well-wishes, bitches!

For the record, I call her my "friend" on the board for reasons of privacy, nothing more, nothing less.

Anyways, just to clarify, I'm NOT throwing a tour (i wish!), I'm just seeking out all fellow crt'ers to get trashed with me one last time at the SL... hope to see many friendly faces there... 4th of July at 6:30pm sounds about right? And by the way, I'm only buying one round, bitches! LH, maybe a miracle may happen and you can actually buy ME a drink this one time... I know it hurts, but you can do it!

What kind of visa did you obtain? I've heard of fiance visas but that they are only good for a couple months.

A fiance visa is good for 90 days. The couple has 90 days to get married once the person on visa arrives in the US. If they do not get married, he/she has to return to her home country after the 90 days is up. If they do get married, there may be a one-year period where the person on the visa cannot leave the US. I think that may be what Ruffnutz is referring to, but I'm not 100% sure.

Yes and No

Correct on the 90 days to get married this is a K1 visa.

You then apply for "Advance Parole" which allows the person to leave and re-enter the US multiple times.

This is set up so you can have a ceremony in the other country.

Ruff's high price imigration attorney can fill him in on the details.

At least he's getting this done before the fees increase 60%

Ruff should check out visajourney.com to get the details.

The new fees go into effect on July 30th.

and they are a sizable increase.

The idea was to jack the fees up to drive down the number of applications while keeping the money received about the same..........

My girl will have her interview at the embassy in Thailand by August.
Should be with me by September.

BTW

The Doc Ruff needs to complete is form I-131 and it costs $170.00 to file before July 30th.

After July 30th the fee increases to $305.00

Oh......The Cost of Love.

LH, don't forget to bring gum.

If we can guage the night by the last time we hung out that means you will be getting back to the SL around 08:15.

Count me in for a few (dozen or so) my friend.

Latinoheat has announced the 1st annual July 4 Hot Dog Swallowing Contest to be held at the NYB. Music by Bilko and Co. and all proceeds to benefit LH's Friends of the Park Trannie Sex Change Fund. Should be fun and my money is on either Latinoheat or Xman. :P If they won't allow his cross dressing friends in then the Shannon Restaurant also has free weenies on the 4th.

I don't know about that Paco. You better be careful where you put your money. The latest line in Las Vegas has El Silencioso at a 7 - 1 favorite. Somehow, the bookies found out that - on his last trip to the dentist in SJO, he had them remove his "gag reflex". I'm gonna bet the farm on El S !!!! :P :P

Thanks for the gag reflex handicap tip, my money would be on you if you'd get your ass down here for the fun once in a while.
