flying in to Costa Rica and will be staying at the Del Rey for a week

Not a fan of the rooms , the place is meh IMO but some cute one do still go there..

Not a big fan of del rey rooms,a bigger negative for me is the chica fee they hit you for.It would be different case if you are a first timer ,alone and speak no Spanish. But other options and better IMO.Have fun and enjoy

Honestly, you would be much better staying at Sportsman Lodge or La Amistad. You will meet up with all kinds of like minded guys and at the SL you will have chicas that for the most part are not the mercenaries like the Rey. Yes they will smell the fresh meat but you will at least have girls that are known to the SL.

Being there a week i would go insane staying at the DR that long. SL is a great venue for a first timer with limited spanish. You will meet wingmen who will give you the lay of the land, take you around and just give good advice. SL has on site security so gives you more comfort about the chicas they let in. You can bring a girl in as well, just make sure to ask her if she can get in SL and is not banned (she will know).

I met a guy last week at La Amistad, took him around, hung out, etc. I was not sure of his experiences prior, he was quite taken aback that a chica at the SL was rubbing his shoulders at lunch. Once he settled in, he brought back a few gals from the SL and DR and he had no spanish skills.
