San Juan 10-9 thru 10-12, Jaco 10-13 thru 10-17, Tamarindo 10-18 thru 10-20, san Juan 10-20 thru 10-21, new to Costa Rica, traveling on a major budget, chicken bus and hostels, should be quite an adventure. Women, touring volcanoes and jungle, museums, maybe hooking up with a woman for a few days if I find one that peaks my interest. Need an adventurous wing man or two. must be flexible and ready to roll with whatever. I like to play it safe, done this in several central american countries and never been disappointed.

First thing I would suggest is to learn the name of the capital city... it's San Jose (San Juan is in Puerto Rico). It should be smooth sailing from then on. :P

If you are on a budget, you should know that the girls in Jaco and Tamarindo charge more than the ones in San Juan, I mean San Jose. Also, those volcano tours and activities are up to $100/person.

I don't think they have chickens on the buses in CR, that might be a Mexico thing.

Enjoy.

Going from San Jose to Tamarindo and back to SJ on a bus, plus to and from Jaco, jungle and volcano tours? Don't think you'll have the time or budget for a woman unless you pick up a Gringa tourist. And alllllll that time on a bus...you say you've done this before, maybe you don't mind... If you are going to CR mainly for the p4p, you might enjoy the trip much more if you skip Tamarindo. Or if you have to see Tamarindo, or care more about seeing nice beaches, nature, volcanoes and Toucans and shit, fly in and out of Liberia and skip San Jose/Jaco...if you have decent Spanish and can pick up chicas without p4p you don't need to spend any time in San Jose or Jaco. I'm an adventurous guy too, but there's nothing adventurous about spending half of your trip on a bus. Mis dos centavos. Have fun.

Thanks for the suggestions, will balance a little p4p with some sight seeing, I like going local around the world but need a day or two of playtime mixed in. If it's to rainy I'll concentrate more on playing. In a new place I try to stay flexible.

How's the trip going? Friday nights at the Monkey Bar there should be some p4p talent (there was this time of year last year), but I found Tamarindo pretty devoid of easy to find talent. Lots of pretty girls in town though. So the last thing I would call Tamarindo is "chica rich"

Go over to Mattos Board shop on the main road and see Juan about doing some surf lessons, board rentals are $5/day and he'll tune it all up for you before you pick it up. I had a ball, will be doing a bunch of surfing there in a few weeks
