I'll be there the 8th-13th, a few days at HLH, a few at LA, maybe a day somewhere else. Might try Hemingway or Castillo for a night, never stayed at either. Or I might spend one might at Freebird, hit Relax , La Maison, and a few others down there. I can pm when it gets closer.
Unique itinerary. Stay at LA or HLH or the others and visit all the others and make your decision for next time, if that's what you are doing. All of them are 10 minutes from each other and all of the fun so I don't get your logistical angle. Don't forget the Mona Lisa or Dunn Inn. All are OK places, of course diff, but why go thru all that hassle of moving around and checking in and checking out and packing and unpacking for a day or two when they are all so close to each other? To me that's the worst part of traveling, checking in and getting settled. If your room is a pit and you have to bail out I get that, but to move around to other well documented properties on this board 10 mins apart to just get a taste of what they're like is an exercise I don't get.
Or maybe I am missing your goal and if so I apologize.
No need to apologize, we might just have different priorities. I am traveling pretty light, so moving isn't a big hassle for me. I have stayed at HLH several times and enjoyed it, so it is my first stop, as well as being someplace to settle in on Sunday. Monday I am going to try some different MP's that are close to it. The all inclusive at LA is something I had to try, as I have walked by often and really like the look of their menu, and by then I will be in chill mode. If the MP's I try on Monday aren't to my liking, I might call Dennis at Freebird for the ones down there. While I have stayed at SL before, and Bill is a great host, I go to SL for food and football, not so much for mongering. And the Del Rey is not my scene at all, only made one pull from there. So proximity to MP's and variety is most important to me.
