I'm going down to SJO for my first ever trip. I'm 25 and I have no idea what to expect. I'm going down for a whole month because I really want to get a feel for this place. My uncle has an apartment in Santa Ana that I will be staying at. My uncle said watch who I bring to the house. Any advice on how to avoid being swindled by some I bring home?

Will your Uncle be there ? I would just get a cheap room at the SL to bang away in. Have you played in this game before? Do you have any other outside Conus travel experience ? Too many questions sorry.

911driver this is my first trip except Puerto Rico which sucked. My uncle will be there for a few days but he got suckered into some old tica so I really don't want to get advice from him. I could stay at SL for a few day but since I have the entire house to myself and a car I feel actually getting a room would be cost prohibitive. How hard would it be to convince a couple of chicas to accompany me back to my place without going to the overinflated prices on cl?

To Santa Ana? Esta laaaargo from the Gulch, as the ticos say. You'll have to pay $$ to get them out there, and unless you run them back into town they'll want cab fare back "home" (in reality, back to the Del Rey), too.

The good (?) news is Santa Ana has a certain allure with chicas, they'll assume you're a rich gringo who can pay them top dollar.

I'm figuring on staying in sjo for 4-7 days. I'm stuck between HLH and SL....any input on which one i would be better off at? Maybe after a week or a few days I can get a feel on who or who not would consider coming to the place. It is a very nice place. My uncle is a "rich gringo" so I guess that's why he lives in Santa Ana. Like I said before I have never been to cr and the only advice I've gotten was from my uncle who has pretty much done everything anybody on here has said not to do.

Don't count out La Amistad!!! Awesome hotel-

Get a room at the SL, you will meet quite a few good fellas, I'm sure there will be some locals dropping in that live there. That will be the best way to go, Have fun!!!!
