I am in CR at la Amistad. I have my Nook Tablet but no charger. I have been down here trying to find a charger but none will work. The Nook has a unique voltage requirement or a unique pin out and typical micro USB chargers will not work. I have tried several down here at the electronics stores and none of them work. I am looking to find someone down here with a Nook Color or Tablet who is going back soon and I can buy their charger, do them a favor or whatever and they can get a new charger upon return. Or if someone is coming down very soon and can bring and extra one along, I will buy it and and some drinks or whatever. We can work it out. I have dowarn here for a while probably until the end of the year so I have some time but the power is about to run out and I am really not looking to pay $500 for another tablet down here, I am happy with the one I have.

Besides that everything is great so far including la amistad.

have you checked with Radio Shack? If not, they are 5 minutes from you.

It appears to me the radio shack is closed although I did walk by there. I went to several electronics stores and office depot downtown as well as several electronics stores at Mall San Pedro. The only one that will work is the one supplied by B&N. I am sure an electrical engineer could craft one, but I am not that.

You might want to check with Aerocasillas. They have a buying service, I do not know if they deal with B&N, where they will order the item for you. You pay them for the cost of the item, shipping and customs fees. Once they give you the price they guarantee it. They have an office on Avenida 1. two and a half blocks west of the HDR on the south side of the street.. In Omni plaza above the Pizza Hut.
