Heading down for my first adventure and looks like I am staying at SL. Just working out details on a room as what they are all booked in the mansion. Any advice for a newbie would be appreciated.

I will be there August 17th to Aug 22nd, staying at the sl. I think if you want to stay at sportsman at this point you pretty much have to take what they have (if anything). A good second choice would be the Amistad up the street, very good hotel and still close to the action. Good Luck

You can just introduce yourself to fellow mongers at the SL bar, and pretty much everyone will be happy to give you tips and hang out.

Another option: contact Pops. Pops runs Wingmans' Tours, and he's also a member of this board. For a small fee Pops shows you the ropes and the places to go. Great guy, ex-cop, has a car.

Me and 3 other of my friends are there from the 18 til the 23. i been there once before if there time we can hang out and compare notes lol i know a few places im gonna hit again for sure and plan to hit new ones

I was hoping to get a round of golf in if anyone heading down is interested. Was also thinking of doing the ATV trip or the canopy zip line. Any reviews of these activities or thoughts on what I should do? Other than picking up ladies, which is a given.

The more you plan the more stressed you will feel..nothing worse than having to keep appointments on vacation. Golfing there is nice but for your dates you better get an early tee time..it rains systematically from 2pm to 5pm everyday in Agust it seems..
