Work with some guys that are regulars in Brazil and the DR, loved hearing their stories and decided I must make a trip, especially after breaking up with the ex this past year and going to court for custody and Ch*ld support issues.. time to treat myself to a little vacation. After a little research I decided to go with CR.. Might have a wingman with me but hes not 100% committed yet. The guys at work have a trip planned to brazil but can't fit that in with my vacation time. Hoping to meet up with some vets to show me around a little and to throw back some cold ones.. Reading all these posts, you guys seem to have quite the brotherhood and know how to have a great time... Hope I can join in on all this fun : ).. Was thinking SL or DR to stay at but are these places booked already for feb? Just starting my initial planning since I now know i have the above dates off.. Ahh I can't wait!!! Also, as far as airfare goes.. I'm coming from Detroit.. Does 500 sound reasonable for roundtrip.. Delta quoted me at 490 after taxes.. doesn't sound too bad..

Welcome to the board. The dates you have are perfect as a big CRT gathering is looking like it will happen. You can try SL but they may be booked already but try the waiting list as cancellations do occur. Castillo or Amistad may have rooms..check these out if you need to.
