First off, I want to thank all of you for great information and hosting a great forum... I'd seriously be confused without this overflow of information. I've been reading for a couple weeks, enjoyed all the trip reports, advice, and obviously the pics of the hotties. I decided to make my first trip to CR, with all the advice, decided to stay at the SL.. I know I'll enjoy my time immensely.

I'm flying solo this trip and will be there Dec 16th-22nd (seems so far away).. I'm 35 from Chicago and looking for guys to party with, show me the ropes and just enjoy mongering time during my first trip. I've been to the Dominican about 10 times, been to Thailand 6 times, so definitely not a rookie. Anyone there during the same times, first drink is definitely on me. I'm sure I'll meet people at the SL bar, but would be cool to know which folks are going to be there ahead of time.

Anyways.. Great forum, thanks for all the info. Looking forward to meeting Bill at the SL and showing him how that GT machine is meant to be played...

Sportsman is a great place for a newbie. Pacc55 is there shoting pool most nights he is a wealth of info. Talk to Bill away from staff and he will tell you the honest truth as he knows it. And just introduce yourself to people. Talk now on the board about other things you would want to do. With your age maybe whitewater rafting, There is a ATV sponsor for CRT and it is not only fun but beatifull in a coffee plantation in the mountains. There is a great Waterfall and butterfly farm. Look here for short day trips. There in San Jose is a good gold museum with old indian stuff, There is the national museum with gold and art. There is the central market for food and tourist stuff. If Catholic you can go to the Basilica in Cartago for a beatifull old church. 1/2 hour from sportsmen non-rush hour. But, remeber you are there for booty calls. These are things to do while charging the battiers only.

The most importmant is learn what chica time means. They are late and no shows all the time. 5 minutes late. Say next. Do not make plans for the next date. Do not pay in advance. Do not pay for 2 days on the first. 90% of the time they will get a phone call and the mother is sick or something. But, then I do that all the time to see if they do come back. Sometimes looking for the trust. Wast alot of money doing it though. And as the years have gone by am still single.

Also, Brother Almond posted a recent trip report where he went on a canopy tour. Sounded cool. About chicas being late, I usually have a 15 minute rule.

Thanks for all the great advice.. Between all the drinking and ladies, I'll see how much time I have left for touring. But I appreciate all the advice. I'll definitely keep my eyes open for Bill and Pac55..

I too am a newbie and will be in CR from Dec 16th to the 20th. I booked my trip a few weeks ago, enrolling as a freshman at the del rey, before I stumbled onto this site. Nevertheless it will be a blast. I am from Delaware and 35 as well. Will have to try to catch up over drinks and exchang war stories.
