Hello all,

I've been doing a lot of reading for the past months and would really like to experience mongering for once in my life. I'm pretty flexible as far as time goes.. Looking to go anywhere in the month of Feb for a week. Would love to get with any guys on the board who can show me the ropes? A little about myself.. I am a 25(soon to be 26 jan 10) and I am from New Orleans,LA.. I have been in the Army for 7 years. I have been to Iraq in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom(OIF 5).. I am a afro-american male.. 6'1 slim body build.. I look really "urban",lol.. I have two gold teeth(one on each side of two front teeth) and I dress like a typical 26 year old I guess(minus my pants hanging off my ass, but I do perfer loose fitting jeans and tennis shoes, I also dress very casual when I am in the mood).. I say this because people assume the worst when they see me.. But, when I tell them I'm a SGT in the army and I am a year away from completing my BSBA they tend to look shocked.. I also sense that most of you guys are older caucasian males.. Hell, I wanted u to know who I am.. For all I know.. You may prefer not to hang with younger black men. Personally, being in the Army. I am accostumed to being in a diverse crowd. I have friends who are 40,white, from bumfuck Mississippi(no offense to the great state of Miss..).. Anyway, enough with the introduction.. It seems the HDR and SL are the spots to be.. I'm just looking for a little guidance.. Hope I can hang out with some of you guys... Thanks.. I've also read the post about being a black monger in CR isn't the greatest.. I could care less bout that shit... Money talks... If they dont wanna screw me cause I'm black..Phuck'em.. There is always another, right?

Slick26,
If you check the roll call section a lot of guys will be down in Feb. I suggest you make reservations ASAP @ the SL, Amistad or Del Rey.
As for being black, well I hate to say it but, read all of Mikey Styles posts,
he has the absolute most phucked up time when he is in country. 8) 8)
Head over to the SL and meet up with some CRT'ers, and hold on, your life will change forever.
And Thank You!! for your service to our country, If we meet first round is on me. 8) 8) and keep on reading much to learn here.
Regards, 911 Driver

Slick:

I'll be "in country" from Feb. 18 - - -March 4. I shall be staying at Hotel Castillo and am more than available to show you some of the "ropes". It's really not too complicated.

I suggest you also look into getting a room at Hotel Castillo. Suggest too that you get the CRT VIP card for the discounts at hotels like Castillo and Amistad. Hotel Del Rey (HDR) don't discount. Further, I suggest you do not dump your money for a room at the HDR. Yes, that is where SOME of the action is....but the value of the rooms sux.

PM me with any other questions....
