Gents, New VIP member here. I've been scanning the entires in the various forums and to say the least you all "are an impressive lot". I stayed at the SL in November for a few days and will be returning to CR on 10 January for a week. Flight arrives in Liberia (long story short I got a free ticket) and I plan to drive to SJ, stay at either the SL or LH the first day or two.

Question/Help. I've been to CR many times and would like to go to the beach, Arenal, whatever with a "known quantity" for a GFE. Any suggestions, etc would be greatly appreciated.

If you have been to CR before and have some contacts and feel comfy with them then I would suggest that. If not, hang out in SJO for a few days find a girl you like and have some connection with then go. I would not take a girl based on recommendations from others. One guys princess may be your nightmare. For these things its best to make a connection with the girl and then take her. Even then you may be setting yourself up for disappointment because she may turn into a pain in the ass while you are there.

Help with what, the "known quantity" part?

I can help with the driving from Liberia....DONT DO IT if you don't have to!! If you can, go to Nature Air and fly from Liberia to SJO if the times work out for you. It is a BRUTAL 5 hour drive behind every semi- tractor trailer in the country! My 2 cents on that part

As for the "known quantity" part....have a busy first day in SJ to see if one fits what you want for take out. If you are headed to Jaco, don't worry and pull something out of Beatle Bar.

Great Points! When I was down in November/early December I met a mid 30s lady who was very nice but, "it was her job", if you get my drift. Took her out to Orosi to the hot springs, dinner, etc. Had some fun but wouldn't want to repeat. Thanks for your help. Rascal
