hi wayne...sorry you have not done your homework....staying at the barmoral hotel ...will start your trip off on the wrong foot...you are staying at a hotel that hates the likes of us , and they prove it everytime you bring a girl back to your room ..3 years ago it was 20.00 so my guess its more now ...and the rooms are like a cheap hotel 8 and the price isnt cheap...hope you have a great trip and get out of that rip off place ..its not to late to change !!

Chil - I did do some homework but not a lot. The Balmoral is $72 a night, Holiday Inn is now up to $137 and Presidente is $89.

I like the Balmoral location along the paseo plus it is a place I can take a working girl or a non working girl will meet me there without being offended.

The rooms are ok and I didn't have the same bad experience regarding chicas you indicate. I was down there a year ago and it's been 3 years for you. Maybe your info is out of date.

In any case I only booked for two days afterwhich I'll leave for Quepos and return for the following weekend. During my 2 days I'll have time to check out the other hotels. I'll update you.
