Diacort Review, sort of-
Last trip my sorry wingman left me to die in a shitty 3rd world hotel room, his excuse- he had a plane to catch. It started at happy hr. the night before, all of a sudden I felt BAD, told him I was skipping dinner and went to my room to chill. He called my room later (to see if I was dead yet) and I asked him to bring a ginger ale and any stomach meds he could find. It was late Sun. night so I was pretty much screwed as far as getting anything from a farmacia. He shows up with Alka-seltzer :roll:

which I drank and threw up before spending the next couple hours on the shitter.

He had an early flight so I was on my own until my 1PM Mon. flight, rough night but I survived and was at the farmacia at 8AM spanglishing "DIACORT"! The lady looked like WTF so I tried "DEE-A-CORT" and she got it. She also gave me 3 capsules of some bacteria-killer that I think was laced with a steroid since I had insomnia the next 2 nights. The first time this happened a few years ago the pharmacist gave me 2 huge red horse-pills that had me feeling better in a few hrs.
Anyway not sure if it was the Diacort or the other drug or both but I was able to make the flight home without incident and kicked myself for not having some Diacort or Cipro on hand, would have given anything to have it in my system 8 hrs. earlier that Sun. night.
Bottom line newbies- if you start blowing out both ends in CR don't waste precious time with over-the-counter crap! You likely have bad bacteria in your gut so get to a pharmacist ASAP for something to kill it.

Purchase on your first day from a pharmacy a bottle of DIACORT..cost about $6. This stuff is GOOD. I had an upset stomach my third day and this stuff saved my ass. Went back to my room, took a shot, lay down for a few hours and was back in action that evening. Also, the tips on other previous posts about sucking on limes with your meals and beer seemed to work as well.

I think so I took a shot and went out whoring around and did not feel as bad the next day Think the price has gone up a bit, they got pills as well that you can buy one at a time Gave the rest of my bottle to my favorita ( sould have brought it home ) she had a gut problem at the time... she loved it fixed her right up . It also rid here chante of cucarachas.. and her dog no longer has fleas I hate to say where I got the bug.... If you go to harrys at opening time... just have a beer... later in the day fine

I always pack a full supply of Imodium Advance when I travel, that stuff works wonders for me and even as a pill works really fast. Can go from being miserable to feeling great in about 30-45 min

I probably should of dropped off my left over roll of Cottonelle at your door before leaving for my flight. Hope you didn't get too many splinters from the hotel roll.
