I am thinking of making my 2nd trip to CR between Christmas and new years. Do many of the chica's return home for the holidays and the locals take off? Had a ball over Labor day weekend and can't wait to return. Whats the outlook from you guys that have been there? |

I was just thinking the same thing. I have off from 12/23 to 1/02 and wanted to go to CR for my 2nd trip over Christmas break as well. When I was there this past Labor Day, someone on one of the eco-tours I went on told me that the tica selections would be slim during this period as many spend that time with their families. Can any of the veteran CRT mongers shed some light on this. Fact or myth? Thanks, Yo |

Many of the locals go to the beach and chicas from out of country go home during this time.It is definitely not one of the best times to go.Look at posts around the holiday season last year.Things come to life after the new year but really slow Christmas to New Years.rbc100 |

We are thinking about coming down on Dec 28. We figured it would be slow at Christmas, but crazy by New Years Eve. Is it really slow up until 12/31? Or is it also slow the whole first week of January? Also... where is the best place to celebrate New Years Eve down there? I figured KL would be insanely fun at midnight. |

Here's a report- https://costaricaticas.com/phpBB2/vi ... php?t=4512 RBC summed it up, chicas will be scarce as they go home or to the playa for the holidays- a slow time for sure, New Years Eve sucked (sausage-fest) and on New Years Day SJO was like a ghost town...hence our infamous "loser tour" -5 horny misplaced gringos walking the streets hitting all MP's (closed) and such in search of chicas ![]() ![]() |

The traditional Latin custom is to celebrate Christmas and New Year's Eve with family. The girls from other cities and especially other countries return home with gifts for everyone. |

They need money to buy those gifts. The period from Thanksgiving (not celebrated by Latins) to just before Christmas is a great time to monger. A lot more semi-pro's out and about ![]() |

I had a decent holiday period mostly because I lived in San Jose and had made lots of 'friends' by then. But for a visitor, I'd definitely make a date before the fact, or maybe two or three, with whomever you could get to commit. Or better yet, come at a different time ![]() |

Every year I go around Thanksgiving for two weeks, and I think it is a great time. Stay away at Christmas time! ![]() |

I have changed plans thanks to all you pro's. I booked room at SL and am flying Continental for the Thanksgiving week, thanks to my dads almost unlimited mileage. Before he retired about 2 years ago he amassed hundred's of thousands of miles and he now hates to fly, so the miles are mine or my brothers to use as we wish and my bro hasn't been on a plane in many years. Since I was down on labor day weekend maybe I am past newby status. |

What is the drop dead date as far as when most of the talent? Would you say it is "normal" up until the 23rd or so? Will be there the week before X mas.... |
