Got the fever and tired of waiting for the airfares to go down. Was thinking of biting the bullet and heading down first of Aug or so for a Wednesday to Sunday trip. Have read the board for 4 months now and just wondering other than the rain is this a pretty good time to be down in CR? Also my buddy can't get away for any length of time from work till late Sept or early Oct and I cant wait that long so just wondering if you savy vets could chime in on whether a good idea to go solo first trip?

Like I said have been reading posts since March and feel am as well prepared as one could be without actually having been (am sure will be blown away hopefully in more ways than one) but just wanted input from you veteran and very helpful guys.

Thanks in advance and hopefully can meet some of the legends and will buy a round at my first happy hour at the BM will be wearing a CRT cap

Going solo is no problem.
Meet some of the guys, and you will get a wingman when you need one.
I go solo almost everywhere, no problem.
To clarify that: I do not walk the streets alone at night, ever.

I always trave solo. You will have no problems meeting up with people in CR.

Texas&Vegas is correct do not go out and about in the streets on your own at night.

Sammy,
The rain was not a problem for me last month. I kept myself "occupied" indoors during the hour or two or three it rained.

I almost prefer being alone.I move around to lots of different local places and when I am ready to cruise to the next place I go.You have to get around to find the diamonds in the rough.rbc100

My first 3 trips were with very close friends. The last 9 were solo. My recommendation: SOLO.

In several trips to other Latin American spots, and a couple to CR, I always found great wingmen to hang out with when needed (in particular, a certain Scubabum who wrote the last post). I will be going on my next trip with an old pal, and am excited to do so. He is an independent sort, so will be fine if I take off and explore. I think in any event, if you go with someone else, you have to have to be able to give each other the space that each of you might need.

Personally, my nerves were shot to shit when I first experienced the chaos and terror we call Del Rey... I couldn't have done as well or had as much fun as I did my first two trips without my close friends with me. Now, I have gone my last two trips alone (though hung out with my Ambassador of Poon, GetRhythm, but we are very good about giving each other our space and are very able and capable of hanging out alone), and alone has definitely been the best, NOW THAT I AM ACCUSTOMED TO EVERYTHING.

I would suggest going with a buddy the first time.

just MHO.

Hmmmm wearing his CRT hat might not be the best thing at the DR. Colombianas might chew him up and spit him out

Okay guys thanks for the input am thinking I can handle solo especially if I can meet up with some of the legends to steer me right. Looks like Aug 3-7 if I can clear up one project at work and give myself a great birthday present.

So after reading sparkchaser's reply what is the consensus CRT hat or no CRT hat at the Del Rey happy hour not sure if I would like being chewed up by Columbianas and my normal preference is not spitters!!!!!!!!!

YO Sam youngster:
I wish I could be a fly on the wall and watch your episode in CR for the first time. That is until you drop your drawers and reveal the two moons and rocket launcher.

Just remember to throughly wash your condom after use and hang out to dry so it will be ready for the next conquest. If you blow dry it do not hold too near because the heat will damage it. Also, purchase a quart bottle of alcohol to wash your chicas all over prior to seducing them......aside from killing the germs they also get a little drunk and it eases the situation. In the mornings when you wake up for your first crap of the day......soak your pecker in olive oil for about 5 minutes. That is a CR tico custom and a healthy one at that.

You seem like a nice lad so I thought I would pass a little of the Circus mystique your way. Have fun and be careful out there.

Hey Sammy:
Man, don't listen to my blow hard old man. He does not know shit when he is drunk. And YOooooooo is he proably plastered tonight. You are going to do good my man. Sounds like you've got the MO JO ready to attack some lustful babes. If I'm in country when you arrive I'll help you out just as all the other members will be glad to do. That's the advantage of being a part of CRT......There will always be members there.

Hurry on down, break a leg and bust some snatch............Welcome to your virgin trip which will not be your last.
