Can you guys weigh in or suggest any CRT threads to review on the following:

1) In reviewing CRT, I noticed that some veterans use the term “hard core ticas and chicas”.

Would this be the same type of bait&switch hustler/grifter one finds in the states?

I speak understanble Spanish so I'd like to avoid these types and mingle more with the"part time" Ticas/Chicas (if only just to chat with them). Apparently, these ladies are more geniune and interesting. Perhaps many of them are economically just trying to make ends meet.

What indicators does a seasoned veteran look for …..do the stone "hard core" types travel in groups….too much make up…Cold fish stare? Hell hath no fury look?

2) I've heard it said that real women have curves-

I dig Colombian coffee but I love Colombian ladies. Are there many in CR? If so, what social meet & greet hang-outs do they circulate in?

In general are the Col working ladies "hard core" types?

The hard cores are clock-watchers and more business minded...and yes they tend to hang in groups. (especially the Colombianas)

Let's be fair here.
The term "hardcore" as used in regards to the girls you'll meet in San Jose carries way, way less impact than how the term is used in the USA.

That being said, hardcore, as used in reference to the girls you'll meet in the gulch, can mean a variety of things.

It might mean they'll start getting ready to leave as soon as you've popped. It might mean they won't budge off $100 for services. It might mean they'll cause a scene if you don't give them a tip or pay more for services BEFORE they are rendered even if you agreed on a price before leaving the bar.

Fortunately these types are not in the majority. Here are some suggestions:

1. Do your homework on CRT.
2. Study the scene in the Blue Marlin before making a decision.
3. Negotiate EVERYTHING up front (time, services, price).
4. Don't drool all over yourself when you meet them, you'll only lose your bargening position.
5. Get recommendations from other CRT members.
6. Don't pay up front or you will also lose your position. I have shown the money and left it on the desk and that appeased them.

There is no 'bait & switch' when dealing with the girls in the Blue Marlin since you are doing the interviewing and choosing face to face.

That's not to be say they might change what was negotiated but you have the right to end the session right there and ask them to leave. If they won't leave call the hotel security.

Be a gentleman and remember there are plenty more to choose from. I doubt if any CRT member hasn't had at least a couple sessions that turned out to be less than they had hoped for.

Just average them out and I think you'll still find you've come out way ahead.

I was with a Colombina twice this first trip, and she was GFE all the way first nite (TLN). Got her early a few nites later and she was much more business like. Afterwards I thanked her for her amor and she chided me that it was only business (which I know). Funny thing was , she almost start crying when I gave her a gift bag.I saw a totally different woman for an instant.

The best word to describe a colombiana is "ardiente" a very strong and good lover. The nicas have hot blood and are almost as good as the colombianas.

Ticas can go either way, the driving force being the money.

I am wondering where you are getting some of these notions, specifically about "Colombian crime Lords" controlling Colombian working girls in San Jose. Geez man, these girls are just trying to make a buck like all the rest. There is no organization; all are free lancers. In the Blue Marlin and MP scene you will find ladies of many nationalities. Most prevalant are locals (Ticas), Nicaraguan (Nicas), Colombian, and Dominican. In recent years we have also seen a few eastern European ladies coming in. I would not stereotype. All of these groups have lovely ladies and a few bad apples. One generalization that can be made is that if the girl is not from Costa Rica or Nicaragua, she is more serious about the profession.

I wouldn't avoid but be careful. I have had some great times with Colombiania's and was even lucky enough to meet one my first trip in the Del Rey who was totally non hard core doing exactly what you said working to make a better life for her daughter.I have since met several in various outher places but they are getting harder to find in the Del Rey.I consider them to be among some of the best looking women in the world.As soon as my Spainish gets better I will be going to Columbia as I hear the best are back there .Some of them have absolutely amazing skills in bed. rbc100

Going out on a limb here and hopefully this will start a dialog. Have no personal knowledge one way or another but certainly have spoken to many supposedly in the know and they all say one thing. Some of the girls at the BM are smuggled into the country and are working off their debt to the "coyote" who got them here.

I recall a few years ago a colombiana could enter Costa Rica as a tourist without a visa and stay for a reasonable time before having to leave (renew visa). I don't recall the politics behind the decision of the CR government, but a visa was required for all colombianos after that date. A visa is not easy for them to get, so most enter illegally. The CR border is about as secure as ours, just look at the number of Nicas that are illegally living in CR. (about 1 million now)

If you've ever been in the Del Rey when a "migra" raid goes down, they seal off all exits to the building and do a room by room search for illegals.

Some of the girls are lucky enough to give a little ginch or money to the arresting officer and he lets them go, others are deported.

All in all, it's not easy being colombiana in San José.

Just to be clear on this:

Tica = Chica from costa Rica
Nica = Chica (or chico) from Nicaragua

Occasionally you'll also hear "pica" = Panamanian lady...I've never personally heard anyone use the term.

Gopher, there was indeed a thread that talked about Colombian organized crime possibly pulling some strings on some ladies who work the BM. The scam is to facilitate their exodus from Colombia, then make them work off the fee one overpriced trick at a time. Basically it's indentured servitude.

OTOH, I met a couple of absolutely sweet, apparently honest Colombianas on my last trip, and I'm sure that if you're careful, you can find a few really good experiences among the Colombianas.

Negotiation prior to going up to your room is key. Don't be shy about telling her exactly (EXACTLY) what you want. If you insist on a full hour, make sure she agrees twice. If you want her totally naked, make sure she agrees at least twice. If you demand BBBJ, make sure she agrees three times, preferrably in front of a witness...

There have been a couple really great posts about pre-qualifying the chicas and the interview process. You're hiring a temporary employee, so be dilligent about the interview. King Costa's thread (look it up yourself, I don't have the fookin' time) gives some great suggestions about what and how to ask before taking her little hand and leading her to the elevators or down the Walk of Shame.

I hope you and little brother have a hell of a good time, and if there's anything else we can do to help a newbie, just ask. But please, as others have said, do a bit of homework first.

Maybe its unusual but I've had 3 short term (3-4 day) runs with 3 different Colombianas from the DR. Each of them had a legal visa, and told me the same thing: they have to go to Panama (David) every 90 days and re-enter. A lot like the perpetual tourist from the u.s.

In my above post ref: groups. I was referring to a thread I saw some time ago. I don't recall the hyperlink. Nonetheless perhaps I overeacted. I did; however notice, that Columbian women travelled in groups that were a little intimidating (girls night out thing), but the ladies I met up with said that they (their resepctive groups) always went with two or three other columbianas. Alot of the guys there were hitting on them.

I met two Columbianas at the Del Rey on two separate nights. Both were absolutely beautiful , somewhat shy, and very passionate. Lovely features-perfectly straight snow-white teeth and dangerous curves. One was 20 and the other 24. I usually pride myself on poise and self control but my jaw litterally hit the floor when I saw them.

I'm going to have to go back down there so I can regain my self control.
