 Post subject: duty free shop

I will in CR for 3 years. I heard there is a duty free shop at the airport. is it possible to buy something and pay no taxes with the customers ??? Or should I declare all that I buy ?

Please be a little more specific. Are you planning to purchase duty free on arrival or departure in CR? If on departure what country are you going to pass thru customs.

Duty Free Shop at the Airport is mostly booze and perfume. You can purchase 8 liters of booze on arrival and pass thru customs without paying any fees.

I have never seen a computer or any electronics for sale at the shops. They are expensive in CR and would suggest you purchase a lap top and bring it with you. I know a lot of people who bring in new lap tops(not in the box) and have never been questioned.
